Super Powered Hopeful Individual - Individually Capable of Changing the World

I was asked the other day 'What would you describe as the key aspect of an Enterprise Architect role?' and in a separate conversation 'What did you do before you got into IT?'

After a little thought and watching an inspiring presentation by Jane McGonigal a 'Super Powered Hopeful Individual' because;

I realised I am

• I've been using computers since the age of 12, playing games, developing games and writing about computers, which means I've spent more than 10,000 hours before the age of 21 working with computers and playing games. Which is more than the total hours I have spent in school learning about all the other subjects.
• Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers book - Theory of success. If you study anything more than 10,000 hours before the age of 21, you will become a virtuoso at the subject.

So ....... because of the above, I think I display the following characteristics and skills;

• Urgent Optimism - Extreme Self-Motivation, desire to act immediately, to tackle an obstacle combined with the believe there is a reasonable hope of success. Win is always possible. I do not sit around.
• Social Fabric - Virtuoso at weaving a tight social network, building bonds, trust and cooperation. Building stronger social relationships. Staying with the game until it's over.
• Blissful Productivity - Happier working hard than relaxing. Looking for hard meaningful work. Willing to work hard.
• Epic Meaning - Love to work on awe inspiring epic Global programmes or missions.
