Flexible Computing today announced that it has joined Microsoft's Desktop Deployment Planning Service (DDPS) program, allowing Microsoft customers to redeem their Software Assurance DDPS vouchers with Flexible Computing for assistance in planning migrations to current and future versions of Windows and Office.
Under Microsoft's Software Assurance program, new benefits were recently added to give customers vouchers that can be redeemed for days of consulting services under the DDPS program. DDPS vouchers, which come in units of 1, 3, 5, 10 and 15 days of consulting depending on the amount of customer purchases, are redeemed with qualified/certified Microsoft Partners who deliver a structured consulting engagement based on the DDPS program, and deliverables are submitted back to Microsoft to prove completion of the engagement.
Flexible Computing is the only registered partner in the Plymouth and Cornwall area.
"Participating in the DDPS program was a logical step for us," noted Flexible Computing CIO Mark Craddock. "We have been participating in the Deployment Services Partner program in the UK, for the last year, and have refined our own version of these services with our ‘Flexible Desktop Deployment Programme’. Our participation in the Windows 7 Technology Adoption Program has helped us refine our expertise in this area, and we have been working with the BDD Solution Accelerator tools for some time.
Participating in this program will allow our customers to choose Flexible Computing to deliver these free services, and introduce us to new customers that we can help educate on the BDD Solution Accelerator methodology and tools."
